About Us

This website was created by Sol Prom's children, Ruth Fabricant Lowell, the late Peter Fabricant, and the late Sarah Fabricant Corbin.

The images in this website were scanned from Sol Prom's vintage prints by Sarah, a photographer in her own right. They are as close to the originals as possible. The only digital work she did was to remove distracting stains, spots, tears, or creases. In addition, as some prints had faded over time, for the purpose of the website, she digitally toned all his prints to match his most well-preserved prints.

The website was designed and programmed by Ruth. Sarah provided the content with help from Ruth and Peter.

Some of the information on this website is borrowed from the writings of Anne Wilkes Tucker, Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Tucker is a writer, historian and life-long promoter of the Photo League.
